Task 15

Sound is audio people can hear. A soundscape is the sound created by environment. A sound design is sound purposely chosen to create the design of sound.  Suspending belief is the creation of realistic moments. As a result of understanding the importance of sound,as a class we watched two title sequences twice, one without sound and the other with sound. After watching the title sequence of Taking the Pelham 123 the following is what we understood; the location was set in New York,we were introduced to the main character, the editing was fast paced making it visually entertaining. Without sound I felt a little informed of what was going on but it wasn't too dull because of the pace from the editing. However with sound we heard city sounds, sound effects, the sound/noises from trains and upbeat music. This made us feel more interested and engaged.
We also listened to soundtracks to identify genres.
