There are four categories in terms of different title sequences.

The first category is : Titles in a blank screen.

Main conventions:
- its low budget
- most common,
-simple & uncomplicated
- provides institutional information
- white type on a black background to create contrast.

- Example of this title sequence: Psycho - the title sequence just has a black background all the way through with white writing on top.

The second category is: Titles on still images

The main conventions of this is; More elaborate, hand drawn boarders and images, not just text incorporation of text and visual image, foreshadow tones and genre, credits are made longer and uses combination of media.

Example of this title sequence: 'Wimbledon' consisted of people different images contrast in background.

The third category is: Titles over moving images

- The main conventions of this; is it incorporates credit titles, moving images, titles, sounds, no dialogue, moving images with narrative thread.

- Example of this title sequence; 'City of God' introduction of production company first, music, narrative thread for moving images behind info.

The fourth and final category is: Animation

Animanted text, moving intergration images, digital technology styled editing, motion graphics, symbolic images.

Example of this title sequence; 'catch me if you can' interested cartoon characters, depiction of the setting of the film

My favourite title sequence would have to be the fourth catergory 'Animation or Motion' because they are creative & always tells or foreshadows intriguing bits in the movie. Also the font and images differ from each movie so it's original. In addition it will be enticing the target to watch the whole film.
